God of compassion and renewal, As I journey through this season of Lent, I offer You the things I am choosing to set aside. You know the habits I cling to, the comforts I reach for, and the distractions that pull my heart away from what matters most.
Give me the strength to let go with honesty and humility. When I feel the pull of old patterns, steady me. When I grow impatient or discouraged, remind me why I began this journey. When sacrifice feels heavy, fill the empty spaces with Your grace.
Use this small act of giving up to open something greater within me— a clearer mind, a freer heart, a deeper love for You and for others. Let this Lent not be about deprivation, but transformation. Teach me to hunger for what brings life, hope, and goodness into the world.
Walk with me through these forty days and shape me into someone who reflects Your kindness more fully. Amen.
